In addition to what Steven F said:
If the courts do find out you have taken out a loan without their knowledge, your bankruptcy may be thrown out and dismissed.
You should take your $750 and $260 a month and buy a cheap car without borrowing for it.

You will be able to go to a buy here pay here type lot.
They offer inhouse finance no banks but usually high interest.
Some dealers will be able to finance once BR has been discharged but that will take awhile.
I would try for a cheap car like 1,000 dollars. Then save car payment money each month
I bought a 2005 Pontiac G6 one year after bankruptcy but paid 18% interest.

1. You CAN'T get a loan without permission from the bankruptcy court.
2. Even if it were legal, no one would give you a loan without assurances from the court that it will not be discharged.
3. If you can afford $260/month, you should not be in bankruptcy.

I'm not being rude, I promise, but aren't you in bankruptcy because you couldn't handle your credit? Please reconsider taking out another loan. I would guess you're headed for more trouble.

Pay the $750 for a cheap car and save for a little better one.
