Good idea, Big R! Remember your character isn't afraid, and when you are acting, you are the character, so establish a strong character when the Improv starts and stick with it.

ps as an acting teacher, I thing improv is a waste of time. It is a comic technique for improisational comedy, not an acting technique. Better not tell the teach I said that. Ha.

The short answer is: Walk out onto the stage and perform. Stage fright is a normal part of the business; you'd be abnormal if you didn't feel some of it. Once you get started, get into what you're doing and don't worry about your audience; just have fun with what you are doing. The knot in your stomach will go away.
By the way, this is probably the only situation available where you can tell that little voice inside your head to shut up out loud and get away with it.
It might also be helpful to remember that you are taking a class, not doing a monologue on a Broadway stage. The idea is to learn. Part of the experience is to learn about different improv techniques, part is to learn how you show up in that situation, and part is to see how everyone else does things. You aren't supposed to already be Robin Williams; if you were, why would you need the class?

there really isnt much you can do about that, i have been acting forever and guess what? i still get stage fright! the thing is though that i may be up on stage super scared saying my lines or singing but i just dont let it bother me, just do let the fear show and let yourself go! (FYI)stage fright is mostly psychological. so even if you're scared or nervous, you just dont let it show...break a leg! and also, it doesn't happen as much with the years, or months...

Believe it or not failure is the best medicine. Once you've bombed a few times and see that nothing happens to you, you're okay. It's not fatal. Just keep acting and you'll get over it.
