i am about to buy a car.i did a VIN check and i got this:left rear impact with another vehicle moderate damage reported.what does "moderate"mean?there is also a case number?how can i see some pictures of the damage using that case number?the title is clear(the score for the title is 82, the average score is 83-88 for a car with the same milage ,same year etc etc and also it says "This vehicle is AutoCheck Assured™ and qualifies for Buyback Protection "i checked the VIN on autocheck.com

The car was hit in the left rear, and the damage was not that bad. It could have needed a bumper cover, light, quarter panel repair, or the deck lid repaired or replaced. If you are worried about the repair, take it to a body shop and have them check the noted area for defects or substandard work!

You most likely will not be able to find pictures. You may be able to get a copy of the accident report with the case number, but that will not give you any real helpful information! The report is written by a police officer, who has no training in auto body damage and repair.

As always, have any car you are considering purchasing checked out by your own qualified mechanic prior to purchase.
