I like a local Mexican restaurant (there's only 1 & it's in this town) & Denny's. If it's just 2 people or a family, it works out.

A good steak hoouse would be good for a Friday night and then a nice walk afterwards, unless you feel like something fresh like seafood.

Gladstones is great. I've ate there a few times. even if you have to drive a little, it's worth it.
