When I try to play a flash video, whether it be from google video, youtube, cnet tv, reviews.. etc, the video will play for 2 seconds, and then freeze.
I can forward to a different part of the video, and it still will play for 2 seconds, and then freeze again.
This is very very annoying. I have reinstalled flash player, and made a new profile on mozilla.
could this be because I upgraded form XP to VISTA?
I also already uninstalled flash, tested the registry (via ccleaner), reinstalled flash, and nothing happened.
Please help. Thanks,
Sean

I have 4 gigabytes of ram.
I have let it buffer. It takes about 2 seconds to buffer a 10 minute video. >>
And I already have disabled all wallpapers and screensavers. I even use the windows classic theme on vista....
Ok, I'll try to do the startup program thing.

flash player is in conflict with some other program on your computer. You just have to shut down startup programs one by one , till you find the right one. Go to run, type msconfig and just shutdown each startup program one by one

I don't think it's because you are using Vista. More likely you are short on RAM. Check it out:
1. Set wallpaper and screensavers to blank or none — they run continuously in the background and use memory.
-----right-click on the desktop, select Properties
-----click the screensaver tab, on the left where it says "screensaver," select none.
-----click the desktop tab, for background, select none
2. Review your start menu – remove anything you don’t need on a daily basis — load games, etc. on an as-needed basis.
-----click Start, Settings, Taskbar and Start Menu
-----click the Start Menu tab
-----select a program you do not want to load at Startup, then click remove.
-----Caution -- do not touch anything you are not sure of or you will mess up your computer royally.
3. From Internet Explorer, click Tools, Internet Options: delete cookies, delete files (offline), and clear history. (You can also set days to store history to 0.)
----- These actions will clear your computer’s cache. (For a description of cache, go to http://help.yahoo.com/l/ph/yahoo/mail/access/access-27210.html )
4. Run Disk Cleanup, Scandisk, Defrag at least every two weeks (the more frequently they are run, the less time they take).
-----These can be found in Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools.
5. Periodically, click Start, Programs, Run — then type ipconfig renew
(that’s ipconfig space renew).
6. Optional: Speed vs Goodies — in the Control Panel, System, Advanced, Performance, Settings — you can have visual effects or let Windows select the best options. I am using “Best Performance.” Your choice.
These things should increase speed and free up memory as much as possible.

you will possibly not have the potential to end it because of the fact as suggested it must be a buffering situation. merely pause the video and enable it totally get carry of, then play. yet another element it extremely is recommended to objective is emptying your cyber web cache, close your browser and restart it. in case you want to save YouTube vids on your workstation, deploy YouTube Downloader for unfastened. merely Google to stumble on a get carry of for it. It has worked completely for me. I totally propose employing Mozilla Firefox. the only element i exploit IE for is to replace residing house windows.

Ehm..
Maybe try the latest version of Adobe Falsh Player? --> http://bitly.com/1p3PNfq
If Youtube or Facebook videos don't work anymore or if the screen is black you need to install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.
Bye Bye

Well it could be your browser, you using IE? if so, try firefox for a while, make sure you have the latest flash player, and if you do, reinstall it anyway, and make sure to turn off your PC from time to time. (i never ever ever turn off my PC)
