I know this without looking. It's "Bridge Over Troubled Water" by Simon and Garfunkel.

Crap tune.

I also have a copy of The Daily Telegraph from the day I was born and sod all happened on that day either.

And thus, I started my life on a general note of disappointment and mediocrity. My childhood was rubbish but I have to say the last 15 years have been pretty damned good overall.

Day I Was Born:

UK : 'Cos I Love You' - Slade
US: 'Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves' - Cher
AUS: 'The Banks of the Ohio' - Olivia Newton John

Oh dear..............the Slade one's not so bad......but Cher and Olivia Newton John........!!!!!!!!!!

18th birthday:

UK: 'All Around The World' - Lisa Stansfield
US: 'When I See You Smile' - Bad English
AUS: ' Swing The Mood' - Jive Bunny

How depressing...............Jive Bunny???!!!! And I've never heard of Bad English!!!!! Didn't care much for Lisa Stansfield either...................

News-wise, nothing major happened the day I was born, on my 18th birthday however, there was something major - The Berlin Wall came down..............

After a bit of digging, I've found it was 'Michelle' by The Overlanders to be replaced by 'These Boots Are Made For Walking' by Nancy Sinatra when I was two days old.
