Bert, you wouldn't see anything if your video card is fried. If you can still see the screen, try and reinstall the drivers and see if it looks better. I need more info to help you, tell me exactly what is going on with it.

smell it... if its fried you will be able to tell that its burnt. and maybe check for black spots but if its been fried you will be able to smell a burnt smell.
and all the other stuff that people say is also true but that means the video card just doesnt work

Inspect for bloated capacitors, burnt smell or burn marks on the pins. If it checks out OK, try it in another PC. Still no display means it is dead.
