and are beeing taken to the cleaners (loss of assets, alimony, child support, later additional child support, made up payments) are kicked out of their house and have to get accustomed to see their children once every 2 weeks to once a month, in other words, get the standard divorce treatment, did something to deserve all that and should just stop whining about how unfair marriage is and start to pay so that they dont end up in jail ?

Well duh of course I would be bitter if that happend to me. Why are you pointing out the obvious ?
Do you go to a rape victim and tell her "so you have been raped ? Bitter much ? not every girl gets raped. Get over it."

NO pure and simple. The rule of 'no fault' divorce means you don't need to give specific reasons such as 'infidelity', 'cruelty', 'abandonment', etc to cite for divorce.

The resident/custody parent (90% women) takes the house until the children grow up. The rest of the assets are split 50/50. Then there is child support. Even when a father is not allowed to see his children he is still liable for the upkeep.

When my parents divorced my father won custody and my mother ended up having to pay quite a bit in child support. My father also got the house and most of the assets. But you're right, marriage is often unfair. I personally don't see the point in it, and probably won't be getting married.

No more than I believe that all women getting divorced are abandoned by their husbands and forced to support their children by themselves while ex goes off with a younger woman.
These kinds of generaliztions are driving us apart. Every situation and every person is different. The wise among us know that.

I am a prime example of the exact opposite! I was the one taken to the cleaners by my husband when we got divorced because I supported him most of the time when we were married and I made more money than him. It may seem like the "norm" that men get dragged through the mud, but it happens to us, too.

during my divorce I lost everything, even my good credit...he was mad because I left and charged up lots of stuff and used my name and signature for loans and ruined it

he beat me mercilessly, drank and used drugs and took everything away financially because I had to just walk away from him to save my life

i think it is a myth that only men lose out

but as one my crazy aunt's would say, a man can get back his money (and I got back mine and then some), but a woman can never get back her time and tail and THAT IS TRUE

I wish also that everyone would stop weighing everything in financial terms. Divorce has an emotional toll, as do many other things people attempt to quantify, that is much worse than financial loss.

Wow, you sure sound bitter. I'm sure you know that there are exceptions to every case, and that some men deserve that treatment while others do not. Your original question doesn't make sense (run on sentence), but no, I do not believe that all men deserve that.

the system is set up to 'rape' the men. Even if the woman wants it to be fair, once the lawyers get their hands on it -well -unless the guy gets a really good lawyer he's screwed.

Not all men. Only the ones that flirt with the opposite sex, have affairs with the opposite sex behine their wives backs or abuse their wives after they promise to love, honor and cherish them before God and witnesses until death.

Easy way around this problem don't get married and don't have children and just use women for the one thing we need them for.
