There is a small hole on the front of the drive. Take a paper clip and straighten it out. Insert it in the hole and press gently. This should manually open your drive.

is there a cd in there already? if so, there should be a small hole on the front of the drive, get a paper clip, straighten it out and push it in the hole, the drive tray should pop out slightly.

Also, try turning the pc off, turning it on, and before the system loads, e.g when its got that weird writing appearing at the beginning, press the eject key to see if it ejects then. If not, the drive may be dead. Don't worry though they are pretty cheap.

Take a clip and introduce it into a tiny little hole that the DVD/CD burner has in the front and press until it opens.
That will only get you to open it, if after this the DVD/CD burner doesn't open by it's own you have to replace it or check if you have it properly connected.

DVD/CD-RW is maximum probabally a DVD participant and basically a CD Burner. which means it may play DVDs and CDs yet basically burn (create) CDs. And as for what style of CDs to apply it relies upon on what you employ them for. in case you propose to make a CD that is performed on very nearly any CD participant use CD-Rs (+ or -) does no longer count. in case you propose to make an information backup which you would be able to delete documents from and upload to whilst ever you prefer to apply CD-RWs. in case you have from now on questions be happy to touch me on IM or digital mail.

I have had this problem, there should be a small hole in the cd drive that a paperclip will fit in. If you will stick a paperclip (or something like that) in there it will open.

Open a paperclip.
Carefully, underline carefully, stick the paperclip into the minuscule hole on the drive.
