The Bible doesn't say.

"A lot of people say 120 years but I can find no scripture to back this up. All I can find is that after Noah was 500 years old he became the father of Shem, Ham & Japheth. - Genesis 5:32. Genesis 7:11 tells us that Noah was 600 years 2 months, & 17 days old when the flood came. This leads me to believe that 70 to 80 years is more accurate than 120 years."

I tend to go with the above - as far as one can...

Here's a survey of the flood account in Genesis:

Gen 6:7 -8 God, disgusted with man's wickedness, plans to wipe out all life on Earth.

Gen 6:14 - 16 God instructs Noah to build the Ark, giving dimensions and materials

Gen 7:1 God tells Noah and his family to enter the Ark.

** There's no indication of how long it took to build the Ark, as far as I'm aware.

I have no idea, "kitten," nor how two of every creature plus Noah's whole family fit in the ark, because I DO recall a description of how big it was, and it wasn't. Big, I mean. I guess it was a God thing.
