I'm afraid that you know about as much as I do on this one -- Pierce Atlas gives just what you told us, with no serial numbers or dates.

If this is a typical older English piano, it is beautiful to look at, not so beautiful to play or listen to, and impossible to service. Where I live, there is a British tuner/technician who simply will not work on them -- he calls them "squirrel cages", because the damper assembly sits in front of the strings and MUST BE REMOVED before the piano can be tuned. He used the worst kind of language when speaking of them.

I do not believe it will be worth very much, I am sorry to say. Perhaps $300 US (if you still have the bench).

But I don't know everything, and I have not seen the piano. And its rarity may give it some additional value -- but I'm out of my league there -- I only give a piano value for its ability to make music -- antiques are not my area.

All the piano appraisal sites charge for their services. Sorry, I couldn't find any information about your piano
