I think cheating is ALWAYS an issue of low self esteem and lack of personal moral boundaries.
YES, chatting online is even a more powerful flirting means because there is no inhibitions caused by fear of rejection.
I do not.
I will not.
I am secure in myself and love my hubby too much.
Peace!

Depends on if the content is to meet up or something else. If its to meet up then they are very close to crossing the line. Either way its not acceptable but its not cheating. The Merriam-Webster definition of cheating is "to be sexually unfaithful".

Chatting no... but in the manner of chatting in a way that you would not let your spouse see? Then yes. Anything you can't do with your spouse sitting right next to you while talking to the opposite sex is considered cheating in my book.

I think it is cheating if the partner is doing this behind your back and witholding information from you. For people that think it's not they better be asking their better half if they would consider it cheating because it's what they believe it is that counts.

why? more reasons than you can list here, any reason can be used to justify your actions.
chatting isn't cheating, maybe there is some deception, but its not "cheating"
texting isn't cheating, maybe there is some deception, but its not "cheating"
Yes I have.
And my reasons are my reasons...I can justify it anyway I want but does it make it any better? No...so it doesn't matter why.

Of course it is not cheating. It only chatting. No body fluids are transferred. Subconsciously, women cheat to select superior genes for their children.
