I'm with you, next weekend I will start with interior decorations, and over the next couple weeks I will put out my outdoor decorations. It's a huge project and takes a couple weeks to do. My kids can't wait to get them all up!
Halloween is our big decorating holiday.
Christmas is stressful and depressing...always worried about not having enough money to spend on gifts for everyone.
Halloween is fun and stress-free!!

Sooo......I'll be with you on September 1st!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEEEEEN!!!!

Athough all the craft and retail stores have had their arrangements of halloween merchandise up for a good two months now, most people don't start decorating until it is at least October.

If you need to still purchase your decorations, do so immediately, because Halloween will be sold out and Christmas mechandise will be cluttering the shelves before school starts.

I worked in retail once... We began receiving our Christmas merchandise around late June, early July. No joke... But, my husband and I rent out an apartment and I don't think our landlord would find it too funny if we started hanging up plastic ghosts and fake skeletons in the front yard. =)

I will decorate my home in mid september.. I do it like Pottery Barn Halloween, think classy and fall-like.. I don't do the whole scary Halloween stuff..

But I am reallyyy looking forward to fall, and the decorations. I love it! :)

By Halloween if I'm lucky. I don't go overboard with the Halloween decorations. I've got three jack o' lantern-shaped lights for the windows--that's about it. Christmas is still the decorating season for me. And September 1st is wayyy too early for Halloween.

A couple of weeks before Halloween so that our decorations won't get destroyed. I want to do a mini haunted house this year. One of our neighbors who has moved away did an incredible haunted house for Halloween. I want to get a smoke machine also.

I put up my things the first week of October. Usual the stores have lots of things and if you put them up too early by the time Halloween comes, those once kool decorations will be stale and boring.

I usually do it the middle of October and take down the week after Halloween.

But for Christmas I decorate the day after Thanksgiving and leave it until the day after Christmas!!

We normally decorate the last week of September or the 1st week of October. We go all out. :] In our front yard we have a coffin that my dad made out of wood and painted black. Its like lifesize to where I could fit in it if I wanted to. We put a skeleton in it with its upper body looking out. We have a little graveyard where we put all of our tombstones of course and the skeleton that looks like its coming out of the ground with its limbs sticking up. We hang bats from our trees and put the fake spider webs all over our bushes and on our roof of our house. With fake spiders on the webs. We decorate all of the inside of our house too because we have annual halloween parties.. with black lights, strobe lights, and foggers. We replace almost all of our hanging pictures with scary Halloween pictures from a halloween store. We put spider webs all over our ceiling and walls inside our house and we have bought many skeletons, monters, and stuff that we place in corners and stuff. I love Halloween. :]
