First of all, you need parentheses!!!! I don't know whether you mean

x + (10/12) = 3/20
or
(x + 10) / 12 = 3/20

and...
(3x - 5) / 6 = (7x + 4) / 4
or
3x - (5/6) = 7x + (4/4)
*****************************
I'll take a guess at what you mean...
1)
(x + 10) / 12 = 3/20
multiply both sides by 12 to get rid of the fraction.
x + 10 = 12(3/ 20)
x + 10 = 36/20
x + 10 = 9 / 5
now subtract 10
x = (9/5) - 10 = (9/5) - (50/5) = -41 / 5

2)
(3x - 5) / 6 = (7x + 4) / 4
Cross multiply
4(3x - 5) = 6(7x + 4)
12x - 20 = 42x + 24
12x - 20 - 42x = 24
-30x - 20 = 24
-30x = 24 + 20
-30x = 44
x = 44 / -30 = -44/30 = -22 / 15

1.
x + 10/12 = 3/20
x = 3/20 - 10/12
x = 9/60 - 50/60
x = -41/60

2.
3x - 5/6 = 7x +4/4
3x - 7x = 4/4 +5/6
-4x = 12/12/ +10/12
-4x = 22/12
x = (22 x -4)/12
x = -88/12
x = -7 4/12
x = -7 1/3

Hope this helps.
