Don't fret, it was a deserted country road with no entry points where I made the speed run...unfortunately they had a speed trap setup that night...oh the vehicle was my scooter a modified yamaha R1

When I was younger (16, 17, 18, 19) I had an AMA experts racing license and have ridden road racers around daytona (only practice laps, never raced in the 200). I was making high speed passes to get my front suspension adjusted to get the high speed wobble out. No one was in danger other than me had I had a freak tire failure or had a racoon walk out in front of me.

I just love how you're getting all the little "no no, bad boys" on here! If you have the ability to go that fast, I can see why you'd do it... Now, about the ticket. I would guess it's gonna be a rather hefty one, and lord only knows what it will do to your insurance. I know a guy that got a similar one, and had to sell the bike to pay it off! You might talk to a lawyer. Get some legal advice on the deal, and see if it's worth fighting. He might have a better suggestion than calibrating the radar gun. Good luck!

Well here's your first dumbfck move:
1.) You weren't racing. Most people have enough money from winning a street race to pay off tickets, and let's be serious, if you're going to be stupid enough to go that fast, you should probably plan on winning.
2.) You were by yourself. Don't do that. Have a couple other people there; they NORMALLY can't pull four or five over at one time.

There is no way they would ever believe you. Just take the obnoxious ticket, and be on your way. In the future, invest in street races.

Don't even worry about that ticket! Most of the radar guns don't even register that much speed. The judge will perhaps look at the MPH's on the ticket and think it's a Typo.

I was ticketed for going 40 over and my friends were like "yeah if you put an appeal in half the time they never show up and you win". So I did and he showed up and I looked like an a s s because he only wrote me up for going 5 over and I should have been grateful!

The best thing to do would be to go to court and pray that the officer who caught you isn't able to make it (if there is no one to testify against you than you will most-likely be pardoned) I should point out that most cops know when they will be in court next and plan accordingly, often spending most of his or her day at the courthouse. Otherwise expect to loose your license.

Sorry.

yeah I think you are pretty much sol, you could try but if the cop used a laser gun there is no point, and Radar guns are required to be calibrated before every shift.
