Is it OK to participate in Wakeboarding behind a boat during my two week wait? Wakeboarding is like snowboarding on water. Can a fall off the board shake the "potentially" fertilized egg loose?

I need to maintain an active/normal life during my TWW....so I don't go crazy.

What are your thoughts?

Oh, thank God. When I saw this question, I thought you were talking about something else, and I was going to write a nasty response!

With wakeboarding, you do have a lot of impact. Why not do something in the water that has less impact, but still lets you be active? You could swim, for example, or hang out on a mattress and get some great sun. Etc.

Call your ob/gyn. They should be able to give you a definative answer. If you don't have one yet, you need one if you are TTC. I believe snowboarding is out so wakeboarding probably is too. Since the majority of miscarriages occur in the first 6 weeks before most women even know they are pregnant you may want to side on the side of caution until the egg is implanted- usually by 8 weeks.

Falls and automobile accidents can keep an egg from implanting causing a early miscarriage.

just do your thing till its for sure your pregnant. otherwise whats the point. people do many risky things before they know they are pregnant. when i got pregnant i wasnt trying really, i had a social drink 3 times, i did excersises i wouldnt have done if i knew i was pregnant. i rollerbladed without knowing how while i was pregnant before i found out. if you havent missed your period yet, then do whatever you want dont miss out on life just because of a maybe possability. have fun. only worry about what your doing once you take a pregnancy test that turns out positive.

Don't take chances, just in case. Try something else that won't be a risk, such as driving the boat. Or tubing.

It shouldn't hurt. I went on a couple roller coasters when I had conceived Adia, and she's perfectly peachy today.
