The U.S. Air Force has a nasty reputation of shooting first and identifying later. At least they DO shoot -- unlike a number of our so-called "Allied" nations. I once lost eleven men to a "friendly fire "accident."" Are they stupid? No, just naive. They (we) believe our "Friends" when they say they've got our backs. 'Course, you know what they say, when the going gets tough the tough get Boeing.
Gee, kind of reminds us of WW II and D-Day. And how many have paid the price in Iraq as compared to the U.S.? Who's carrying most of the weight (as per usual)? Time for another spot of tea? So, when's the last time you were in a war? Know anything of the fog and confusion?
The only REAL questions remaining are: Why was the Air Force dropping bombs so far back from the front? And, if that's NOT the case, what were the Brit.s doing anywhere NEAR the front? Heaven knows, this has probably been their greatest contribution and loss of life in this war thus far. My condolences to the families.

Trigger Happy, see something, shoot it, ask questions later.
Yes they are a bunch of retards, no I don't apologise for that comment, if the yanks would just WISE UP and stop putting morons out into the battle field, at least train them properly and check first, shoot later policy.
I am appalled that they have even tried to cover up some incidents as uncovered by news journalists, I also believe that the Journalist who brought the issue to the medias attention was intentionally targeted because of his comments about the US forces...
The US have a bad reputation for being "Gung Ho" with their guns, see something, shoot it, ask questions later seems to be the policy.
It is unacceptable that our forces are put at risk by these hicks that are all too happy to shoot ANYTHING on sight or anything that moves.
I can tell you that I am not impressed, I lost a good friend in the Gulf War because of shoddy US intelligence that failed my friend.
How many US troops have been mistakenly killed in action by UK and other troops from within the EU?
I would cease all operations along side the US until they can provide a good enough track record for safety.

It's far to early to pass judgement on this because we don't yet know the facts behind this awful incident.
Dreadful things happen in any military conflict including accidents which may or may not be preventable.
Our thoughts should be for the families of those concerned!

Nope, the idiot Brit foward air controler, gave the pilot the wrong coordniates to drop the bomb.
It has long been known, that do to lack of british air support, that british forces aren't trained to call in air support.
Now you had some poor bugger, mess up and call in an air strike against his mates.
You need to get the facts, before you make baseless accusations.

Easy to judge when you're sitting in front of a Pc isn't it.
Amazing that these thngs don't happen more often considering the amount of munitions flying about.
I'm sure the pilots of the aircraft involved are more educationally qualified and professional than a lot of armchair experts.

You can't blame them yet.Ground may have given wrong reference.Anyway blame Brown for the cut backs on army gear
for them being able to defend themselves. The Yanks are called
out by forces there to drop at a moments notice.Life our forces
their pilots are worn out.Don't accuse without facts.UK.

Their are a few possible causes for this incident, one is that the US screwed up and dropped the bomb to close the the Britts. One is that the Britts screwed up and called the raid to close to themselves. One is that the Britts called the raid and during the commotion moved forward into the range of the bombs. One is that the bomb went off course due to pockets of air causing turbulence (okay that is pretty far fetched but you get the idea). I am sure their will be an investigation into what went wrong I reserve judgment until then.

Stupid? Naw, I don't think so. I believe the word you're looking for is deadly. In case you haven't been paying attention to the BBC, the U.S. military is extremely dangerous. It's probably best to stay out of their way. Much safer back home in the UK, don't ya think.
