I want to be gay.?

I have made a decision to be gay. Now I am a minority in more ways than one right? I am philipino, I am a female, and now i am gay. Are there any monetary grants available to me? thanks for your advice in advance. :)

well I know it's much more than deciding. I have to make a conscience effort to be gay. which I am doing! I plan to abstain from sex until I find the right mate. Until then it will just be on a friendly basis. But, I've decided I am gay. I just don't want sexual relations because sex is nasty. thank you.

well I think that straight sex is nasty too. so, now I guess I am not straight or gay. wth am i??? geez this is confusing. I should decide to just be a sidewalk that way both communities can walk on me freely.

actually i wake up on a daily basis and decide what ethnic background I am. I can choose because I am many.

Well, this is silly. All of you that say that I can't 'be' gay just because I decide to be gay are wrong. I am gay now because I decided that I am going to be gay. Hasn't your mom ever told you that you can BE anything you want to BE if you put your mind to it??? duh.

Whatever. You say you have to be born that way. I say I have chosen to be that way. I can't believe the prejudice that I am running into in the gay community. can we all just get along? geez.

oic. I didn't realize that it was genetic. so, hummmm. perhaps i have been gay my whole life and am just choosing to come out now? where can I go to take a genetic test to be sure?

I don't know if being gay is just something you wake up and choose to be. You either are or aren't. I mean I can't say for sure, because I'm not. But it seems like (from the context of your question) that you are choosing it to get money? That sounds a little....weird....like exploiting that community for your personal gain. Hopefully that's not the case...there are enough grants available already for women, minorities, people with low income-the list goes on forever. Good Luck.

Whoa... hol' up girlie... just cuz ya WANNA be gay doesnt mean ya get'ta... ya gotta pass the TEST first, see... AND then there's the secret handshake.. cant forget about THAT... have you been to your local recruiter yet? They will set you up with a mentor in your area AFTER you pass the test and pay the application fee... which CAN be pretty steep.

No, honey, YOURE being silly. Your mother meant you could grow up to be a doctor or a lawyer or even President.. she did NOT mean you could CHOOSE to be gay or heterosexual. You cant. Sorry. It doesnt work that way. Same as you cant decide you want your eyes to be BLUE (without buying coloured lenses)... it doesnt work. Uhm, you can't just decide to be gay. Either you are or you aren't. Unless you've had homosexual feelings all your life I doubt, very seriously, if you will be able to just "turn" yourself gay. It doesn't work that way. Trust me, I tried, all my life, to be straight. I wanted to be straight, but, I'm not and I've learned to live with it. My suggestion is to just be happy with who you are. Believe me, you'll be much happier.

You can't just wake up one day and say "Oh, I want to be gay." It just doesn't work that way.
If you aren't gay, don't do this, otherwise you'll probably end up hurting someone.

Any and all previous answers in support of, sympathy towards, as if astute knowledge of, any manner of LGBT or related lifestyle, herewith retracted, as such were offered involuntarily, under duress, given ongoing suffering from injuries experienced due some manner of LGBT participants/promoters, and subsequent alterations, even a form of conditioning as per official cowards in the city where I live (Tulsa, OK), local poor excuse for apartment manager, more than half the residents where I reside, related housing authority (I'm not a bum, I'm disabled), fake relations, various ethnic cults, etc.

Sorry, but prior to tampering launched against me, evidently overseen/managed by various administration, churches and other such filth, I previously lived a simple, casual, typical heterosexual lifestyle of predominantly like aspiration/thought.
