For the first time since WWII she made British people hate.

They hate her, more bitterly than any other British politician of the last 300 years. Even her own colleagues and friends eventually turned on her and forced her out of office.

They hate her politics, which are still pursued by a few die-hards inside the Conservative party and which make the Conservatives unelectable as a party of government.

They hate her economics which virtually wiped out British industry as a competitive force and gave the country into the hands of the international bankers and financial institutions.
Every major project which Margaret Thatcher supported became a financial disaster even before she got kicked out of office.

They hate her values of envy, selfishness and greed, her divisiveness of society into them and us, and her ruthlessness in attacking the sick and the families of those she was making unemployed.

If there is such a thing as an anti-saint Margaret Thatcher is it. It takes a special kind of person to achieve so much evil in so short a time.

from the TimesOnline...

Her achievements in changing Britain for the better can never be underestimated. She improved our country immeasurably, in so many different ways, and is quite simply the greatest living Briton. Thanks for eveything Maggie, and I hope you had a great birthday. Of all people, you deserve it. Greg Winterton, London
