Look liitlebarb this so called 'war on terror' is an american war, the invasion of afghanistan and iraq are both U.S led invasions and the british are your number one allies. I refuse to fall into the idea that what is going on is world war 3. What is going on is regime change and a war on the very roots of terrorsim after the 9/11 attacks in New york. Wether or not these wars will have worked time will tell.

Its on NPR. Not sure about our more mainstream news channels as they all suck.

I admit a lot of our fighter pilots are a bit trigger happy and careless... last September we accidentally killed a few Canadians. Such carelessness shouldn't be tolerated.

CNN also covers it.
ABC covers it.
Even the notoriously conservatively bias Fox news Covers it!

What I find amazing after seeing such claims is that us Americans have the reputation for being ignorant.

I AM an American and I WILL answer your question.... of COURSE these incidences get reported on US media---and it was also reported that it was the British who made the call that sent the Americans in with the bombs... so BOTH are equally at fault here.... America isn't perfect... but compared to the Brits, we have more then TRIPLE the number of soldiers over there.... more then ANY OTHER "allied" country....and that seems to be the way it is in EVERY conflict with the exception of the Faulklin Island War...in RECENT history!!! There are many websites that detail ALL the incidences of American "FRIENDLY FIRE" since the war of 1812.... have there been many---YES .... are they accidental in nature---YES.... Ok so somebody made a mistake-- It was an ACCIDENT so why cast all the stones anywhere? It is TRAGIC that people IN A WAR have to die by ACCIDENT.. but it's a WAR, not a day at the beach....and if the BRITS had as many troops or the Aussies had as many troops in Iraq as the Americans, then I would hazard to guess there would be a few incidences of Brit FRIENDLY FIRE as well. Listen I do NOT support this war, but there are THOUSANDS of American men and women over there trying to do a job---they can only do that job as well as their commanding officers LET them. (or as badly)... I support the fact that ALLIED troops are there from the Brits and Canada and wherever.. ... and hope that they ALL can come home safely SOON... I think Uncle George got us ALL into something we ALL have no business being involved in..... and until such time as a FULL INVESTIGATION is made, neither the Americans NOR the Brits have a right to cast stones on EITHER... it was an ACCIDENT OF WAR and nothing more. I do send my condolences out to the families of those who died...

I JUST saw your question so don't assume that Americans don't care because I certainly do. Many cases of "friendly fire" are reported via the media. I'm so sorry that even more troops have died because of "friendly fire." It's tragic no matter where the troops are from.

Good Question.it Deserves the Star,Lets hope our American
allies / cousins give us the answer,Personaly I am sick to the back teeth of the USA armed forces killing British soldiers in so called Friendly Fire,How many of our troops have they killed to-date? More of us Brits than the enemy or are we there for target practice as it seems any friendly fire is usually blamed on rookies from the National / Homeland Guard squads.NO MATTER ITS BLOODY HIGH TIME IT STOPPED

Rarely, we have had quite a few Fragging in this war like in Vietnam. No one wants to admit that troops will sometime kill their leader or Follow soldiers. Sadly this sometimes happens when line troop think that the action of a leader and another solider is putting their life in danger. (Oh for those who don't know Fragging is a slang term use for when a solider would intentional throw a grenade shot so it kill one of his group )

Yes they get reported. I advise waiting til all facts are in. I just read on BBC.com suspected friendly fire deaths and on yahoo it say friendly fire deaths because of a bomb dropped from a jet.
