I was infected with a strep gram + cocci in clusters bacterial infection post a procedure-endarectomy- the infection went to my heart and caused me to have endocarditis and distroyed my mitral valve ..can i sue for medical damages?

You only sue a doctor for negligence. Contacting an infection post procedure is an assumed risk.

Wow. I am sorry, trully devastating condition. Medical malpractice is usually based on one or both of two theories, one did the physician or hospital act outside of professional guidelines, in other words using techniques not recognized as professional by the American Medical Association (or in your case the American Association of Cardiologists) or the corresponding boards or professional accrediting organizations. This is tough to prove and needs lots of money for experts. The other approach is lack of informed consent, stating that the hospital or doctor failed to adequately inform you of the risks. Again tough to prove. You really need to go to a lawyer. Search findlaw.com or call your local bar association for help in getting one. Don't take advice posted here as final, call and talk to a few lawyers before you decide whether to go forward. You have already been injured enough.

yes, please do, then next time you need treatment your regular doctor probably wont be there due to not being able to carry insurance and the doctor you fdo find wont knwo anythihng about your history and charge you 3 times as much due to other lawsuits brought on
