Even Evolution theory never implied that there was never any other biological life before the Creation of the earth.
So Evolution theory ,only deals with Mother Earth.
Now whether ,what evolutionary philosophy postulates is something to be observed . And what is observed is subject to interpretation. Whether the interpretation represents reality or not is a matter of a belief system.
As it has been said over and over"believe it or Not".
Its very vely simple

Theistic, former-agnostic, non-fundamentalist-creationist perspective:
To consider whether someone intelligent set into motion the series of events that led to the rise of humanity is not unreasonable. But, I don't see how aliens get more consideration than God.
To comment on Quantum's answer:
Seems that a lot of people assume that if aliens were real, then our continued existence and/or freedom is surely a token of their mercy and/or friendliness. But what if the theoretically-populated universe is like the Earth in a certain way? Nations and corporations which attempt to do bad things to other nations and corporations for their own gain will answer to higher authorities if they do not "play by the rules." The universe could be like that, too.

>There is so much in our evolutionary past that can not be explained without alien intervention.
NOT.
The facts: There really isn't anything in our evolutionary past that requires alien intervention to make sense. The Earth's geological and biological history fits together quite well without any aliens. If aliens HAD interfered with our evolution, we would probably see either no sufficiently large discrepancy to be noticeable, or an extremely large and glaringly obvious discrepancy. Sorry, but I don't think your theory has anything to back it up.

what can't be explained w/o alien intervention? if you can believe that why can't you believe that it was divine intervention? there is some evidence, strangely enough, to support alien activity on earth long ago, but humans were already here. there are some cave paintings that depict people flying around in what look sort of like ufo's. it's food for though, and not much else.

Yes....I believe that aliens visited Earth before humans existed. Scientists, theorists, and writers asked themselves if aliens visited Earth during prehistoric times, so they theorized everything they wrote. Here are some proof that I've heard about in the past six years, and all could never be proved for real:
1.) The extraterrestrials must have mated with the Neanderthals- the known ancestor of our modern human species, **** Sapiens Sapiens- thus creating the intelligences of modern man.
2.) Alien empires built their research bases and settlements throughout the Earth and possibly other planets, including Mars. It's possible that they helped the local inhabitants build Atlantis until its mysterious destruction thousands of years later. The Martians or some other alien race must have built monuments on the red soil, like the "face on Mars" that sci-fi fans have been talked about until the face was actually a natural land formation (which it actually is).
3.) As what Erich Von Daniken stated in his best-selling book, "The Chariots Of The Gods", the extraterrestrials must have built monuments that man would be impossible to build, such as the pyramids on Egypt, and appeared to be riding on spacecraft, as what the writer thought, on ancient paintings and stone cuts. Plus, from their assisting aliens, ancient peoples must have borrowed some of the advanced technology that mysterious got lost later in history.
Theories may vary from scientist to scientist, but as of now, there's no proof that aliens may have visited Earth before humans existed. However, along with many others, I still believe in such ancient visits from outer space.

pokerface-- it's Eric Von Daniken. Chariots of the Gods was one of his books that purported the hypothesis (much like the questioner) that everything that couldn't be understood or explained MUST have come from visiting extraterrestrials. This became somewhat of a fad in the late 1970's until modern research and knowledge debunked almost everything written by Von Daniken.
I agree with rational-- Don't come here and state that aliens are responsible for things that you don't understand without providing some supportive evidence or proof to support your brash claims.
I could just as easily claim that it was my dead uncle who transported himself through time and this gave him magic superpowers to build the pyramids et.al. by himself in two days. Who needs proof?

Um... what can't be explained...?
If Aliens visited before we were here, I would hazard a guess to say that they woulda taken over the place.... Why let a bunch of monkeys become the dominant species?

We are so far at the edge of the Milk way we are in the boon docks for a lack of better term.
So being this far out in the stick I don't think aliens came here because what would draw them this far out?
Nothing I can think of.

I believe this is one of the concepts in the religion Scientology. However its a rather silly religion based on the science fiction writings of L Ron Hubbard, so I would look it over before you sign up.

I think it's possible. Maybe in the early history of man. when you look at the world there is so much we don't know and probably never will. Not to sound"Out there" but they could be watching even now , they would have to be so advanced that they would be undetectable by us. sounds crazy but we don't know everything so maybe.
