How do I throw out my full mattress in Brooklyn, NY (Smith Street)?

Id say call your garbage company and ask them how to dispose of it or anyway to contact the city ( for like a transfer station of recycling ) . Im not sure if like salvation army or thrift store would accept it or not ( can try).

Put it outside with a note saying take it and maybe a homeless person will take it.
