I like my bed sheets looking neat and not wrinkled and think that a good woman will iron them (as well as change them) once or twice a week.

Can't believe you just asked that. Guess what I'm about to iron? and my knickers too! Yes, I am a perfectionist!!

I'm sorry, but they're just going to become wrinkled again. Why waste time ironing sheets when I could be doing something more useful like cooking? Changing them once a week is okay, though. Twice is just too much.

Let me see now.

We have the seven children you insisted upon my dearest husband, oh Master of my world.

I woke you at dawn dressed only in a scanty thing and scrubbed your back as you showered. Meanwhile the perfect eggs and toast were ready .. along with fresh squeezed juice... and hand ground coffee beans... .

I kiss you warmly as you saunter out the door, a happy man.

Now let's get real Sandy! THIS IS THE TRUTH COMING.

The kids are up and it is just a wonderful struggle to get them all clothed and ready for their days. Little Joachim has developed a fever and the 2 year old twins are miserable with teeth. Wee 3 month old Zachariah has the colic and just cannot seem to quieten down, poor tad.

That is four down and three to school. The day is spent in a whirl of holding, rocking, sneaking medicine into, cool bathing, upchucking, temperature taking, diaper changing and actually managing a cup of tea for myself. Joachim puked up the cough syrup all over our bed at sometime during the day. The babies of course goobered and, well, I did my best but Zach's diaper leaked.

OH dear, you are home! The bed is unmade, but the children are feeling a little better from the home made chicken soup and love they have had during the day. ACH...

NOW... does it really matter if the sheets are ironed?

Iron them? I'm lucky if I am in the mood to fold them!
FYI : My husband is a big burly manly man construction worker, he says that I do everything he could ask for and above and beyond what is expected for the house. So I guess I am still a good woman. I asked him this question while he was home for lunch, his response included "What kind of an a@#hole would make his woman do that?!"

You shouldn't need to iron them if you take them out of the dryer as soon as they're done drying. But maybe if you want ironed bed sheets you should do it yourself

If you like them neat and clean then you should be ironing and changing them. A man can do things around the house as well.......I do everything at my house......Why iron sheets just to lay on them....That's like taking a shower just to go jump in the mud......

If my husband tried to ask me to iron the bedsheets on top of my full time job and taking care of the kids 100% and doing all the housework, well..let's just say the crime scene would be pretty grizzly.

Why? If she's a good woman, she'll be ready to wrinkle them up again the minute you get home.

My point exactly TayLee! Who irons their bedsheets? If you get them out of the dryer as soon as they're done drying and put them on the bed they'll be fine. You should iron them yourself!
