my parents are 6 years apart too..and i met a couple that was 16 year apart. is this bad?

This isn't bad!! Age is a number. (As long as you aren't under age) If you think that you too belong together then follow your heart.

That not a bad age difference. I am 21 and my husband is 34 we have been together 4 yrs now. It hasnt been easy. If I ever get divorced I will never date a older man. I dont think 6 yrs would be as bad as 13 yrs like we are. He also has 2 kids from his first marriage. So if the guy doesnt have kids I would say go for it, make sure there is no ex-wife also. Having an ex-wife is hard to deal with!!!!

no, you're an adult already. I just think it's wrong when the girl is just a girl and the guy is a man because that seems like abuse. For example, if the girl is 15 and the guy is 20, that sounds like abuse. If the girl is 20 and the guy 25, that's extremely normal. They're no problem with the age. My dad is 13 years older than my mom and they've been happily married for 22 years.

age doesnt matter if youre truly in love. Now if he was 75 you may have a little problem dancing to rap music but 6 years at your age is no big thing and is really of nop ones elses concern either

I think the age spread is OK but I would recommend dating this guy at least two years before making any commitment.
You have some maturing to do and you may not find him so attractive in a year or two, as you change.

That's not too bad. It's far from illegal. But keep in mind, you may be in different stages in life ,so be ready to deal with the differences. Otherwise, have fun.
