Is Ignorance IGNORING the obvious truth when it's right in your face, or is it genuinely just NOT KNOWING the truth?

It seems the word ignorant is used for both defintions. So which one was the intended definition for the word?

Ignorance is making a rash assumption about something with the purposeful refusal to learn about it yourself first. I would say the first would be closer to the truth.

IGNORANCE OCCUR WHEN

FOR EXAMPLE...

THERE ARE THINGS THAT PEOPLE UNDERSTAND

AND YOU BEING AN IGNORANT

BECOME A NARROW-MINDED PERSON

BECAUSE YOU DON'T WANT TO UNDERSTAND IT.

YOU ONLY BELIEVE WHAT YOU WANT TO BELIEVE.

AND YOU THINK THAT YOU'RE ALWAYS RIGHT.
