i have just had a bath and noticed a really big lump on the side of my breast! anyone know of the signs of breast cancer? my mum had breast cancer when she was 30 so i am really worried that i have it am only 22 years old!
am goin to go to the emergence doctors tomorro after work to get it check out.

That's a wise decision. Chances are, it's a harmless cyst or infection in the milk duct. My daughter had the same thing when she was 22, and just had a baby. It was an infected milk duct. But even at your young age, it's a good thing to have it checked out, especially with a family history of breast cancer. Good luck.....

I am glad you are going to see a doctor it may not be any thing that is cancerous. about four weeks after my wife gave birth to out second daughter she had a lump in her breast , next day she was seeing our GP, next morning seeing the consultant in our local hospital, Next day at 12 o'clock she was in the operating theatre having surgery , it turned out she had a blocked milk duct that had gone septic, it was the size of a tennis ball. my wife thought she had cancer so take heart from that and the best of luck

hi,am reli sorry to hear this as you're so young! breast cancer is very rare in women from the ages of 18 to 28,so hopefully it won't be anything serious.You're doing the right thing by going to the doctors as soon as possible;the sooner the better.

Honey, don't worry too much. If it hurts, its most probably not Cancerous. Its good your brave enough to go to the docs. You seem to have caught the lump pretty early if it is cancerous. Good luck, yeah?

my friend found a lump and her mother had breast cancer but luckily she was in the clear! dont panick the doctor is the only one can help you on this.

Get to the Dr.s that's all you can do.They have always told me that Cancer doesn't hurt. I have had biopsies and surgery and I just try and check my breast. Men can get breast Cancer too..I seen it,,, So men need to check as well!

You need goes your doctor as soon you can. Have them look your lump on your breast. They will tell you what should do with your breast.

I had a big lump besides my armbits...LOL but that's a different story. It's not cancer

Are you near your period? Could be blocked milk ducts - that's what I had, have some hot milk and try to get to sleep tonight you're doing the best thing getting it checked out.
