Cambell these are giant propellers. It takes a whole flatbed truck to haul just one and they are white. They move very slowly in the wind and I have never seen them before. Avio I am not from the area I just drove by you smartaleck.

They are Windmills to generate electricity (power) for the 'grid'.

They are called "wind turbines". Large, white (don't why they're white), 3-blade vertical "fans" that turn slowly in the wind (very much like those small pinwheel toys).
The wind turns the blade, and the machine at the hub converts that motion (kinetic energy) into mechanical energy. If the mechanical energy is used directly by machinery, this is usually called a windmill (not all that common anymore).
If the mechanical energy is then converted to electricity, the machine is called a wind generator.

If they are the really big white ones they are probably windmills used to generate electricity. If they are smaller, airplane like propellers often seen in orchards or fruit and vegetable fields, they are fans used to blow away freezing air from delicate crops in winter.

That isn't really an astronomy or space question though.

Earth is slowing down in it's rotation - due to the lunar tides.

These propellers turn on in order to give Earth the needed boost to keep our day at 24 hours. There's also quite a few just west of Lodi, and in the Mojave - to cancel any wobble in Earth's rotation due to unequal pull of the propellers.

well the wind pushes them and makes them spin and then the spinning motion produces electricity and power for parts of the city like lights just like a hamster wheel creating energy in a cartoon or something i'm pretty sure thats how they work and there not just in vegas they are in alot of deserts its instead of solar energy

but realy thats just what the goverment wants you to think the other dudes right they are a signal for the mother ship RUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNN! or HIDE!

They are wind turbines that generate electricity. You are the only person anywhere around there that didn't know that, and if I were you I would be really mad at myself for not knowing very much, and I would do something about it, like start reading the news and paying attention in school.

And by the way, guys, a "windmill" is for grinding grain. These are "wind turbines."

they are windmills. when they spin from the wind blowing them they create electricity. they make wind power.

They are for contacting the Mother Ship!

For pity's sake, don't believe their lies!

Run for your life--they're almost here!

Those are wind farms used for energy production.
