An element is one of the just over 100 types of atoms that are found on the periodic table. They are just one kind of atom and can not be split into any more simple matter. Examples ae gold, silver, copper, platinum,

A mineral is something that is found in the ground, often the ore for a type of metal. It is usually a compound, 2 or more different atoms attached chemically. Examples, iron ore, Fe2O3, bauxite, aluminum ore, uranium ore, Minerals can also be types of rocks like CaCO3, calcium carbonate, sodium chloride, calcium chloride, 2 types of salts, sand, SiO2, fools gold is FeS, iron pyrite also called iron sulfide

A mineral is any natural substance that you can get from a mine.

An element is any pure form of the 92 natural elements (and a dozen or so man-made ones), which are distinguished by the number of protons in their atomic nucleii.

About half a dozen pure elements occur naturally as minerals.

A mineral is a single type of crystal within a "rock", which consists of one or more types of crystalline minerals.

A mineral differs from an element because minerals are compounds consisting of more than one type of atom, while elements are, by definition, only one kind of atom (but possibly several isotopes). For example, one form of elemental carbon is graphite, and another is diamond. If you had two samples, one of which was all graphite and one of which was all diamonds, they would both be minerals; they would both be examples of the element carbon; and they would have vastly different physical (and monetary value) characteristics.

Mineral is when it's in its natural state, like iron ore is a mineral, when dug up from a mine. An element is it's pure form as an atom.

Elements are the building blocks of minerals.

A mineral such as SiO2(quartz) is made out of three elemental parts. Two oxygens and a silica.
