--> du haSt means u have

BUT

the pronunciation is nearly the same, so, if u don't have it written down, it depends on the context

btw: I want u = I will dich..

I understand the actual translation is "YOU HAVE".

But why does the english version on Rammstein's cd both say "YOU HATE" in the song & lyrics???

It means "You Have".

If you're referring to the song by the German Industrial-Metal band Rammstein then it still means the same in that context.

If you're interested here are the lyrics to that song:

[x4]
Du
Du hast
Du hast mich

Du hast mich

[x2]

Ah-h-h-h
Nein
Ah-h-h-h
Nein

willst Du bis der Tod der Scheide
Sie lieben auch in schlechten Tagen
Ah-h-h-h
Nein
Ah-h-h-h
Nein

willst Du bis der Tod euch scheide
Treu ihr sein
Ah-h-h-h
Nein
Ah-h-h-h
Nein

Translates to:

You You have you have me You have me You asked me You asked me and said I nothing You want to death you separate faithful it to be fur all days ah-h-h-h no ah-h-h-h no You You have you have me You have me You asked me You asked me and said I nothing You want to death you separate faithful it to be fur all days ah-h-h-h no ah-h-h-h no you want to the death of the sheath you love also in bad days ah-h-h-h no ah-h-h-h no you want to death you separate faithful it to be ah-h-h-h no ah-h-h-h no
