Mostly, I'll take initiative...
I used to be the kind of person that would wait for someone else do to it first, but then I realized, if you do something first, you're being more of a leader.
But in some situations I'll still wait for someone else to do it first.
For example, jumping into potentially shallow water.
Or walking outside when I think I saw a spider web going across the deck.

If something needs to be done, the best bet is to do it yourself right away. If you wait for someone else, you end up doing it at the last moment when you do not want to and have to hurry just to get it done.
If you are talking about relationships, step up and say hello. Just imagine what could happen if you don't. That fine lookin man or woman you could have gone out with is suddenly walking away and so is your chance to strike up a convo with him/her. No time like the present - step up and make yourself known. The worst that can happen is they are spoken for. If at first you don't succeed, than you flirt, flirt, flirt again !!!!!

it depends on the situation really. If there is an emergency I can take the initiative. cleaning my house I must get it done no one else will (I have tried that). but I like to wait I tend to be a procrastinator and I hate that but when it comes to some other things like family and relationships LOL then it just depends on my mood

Most of the times I take initiative if no one else does but it is required or when something can be gained. In other cases I let people around me do it. No need for extra efforts for almost nothing.

I'll do it. I always will. Even when it's not my job. Things won't get done if I don't. One day, I'm going to sit back and laugh as my boss finds out just how much work he's getting out of paying $8 a bloody hour.

I am a leader. If I see the opportunity to do something, or help someone, I step up and do it. I am not the type to wait around.
