I hate....I HATE....the "gellin' ads that all make stupid rhymes...so much so, that I wouldn't buy one of those shoe inserts if my feet were killing me. PERIOD! I HATE THOSE ADS! I wonder who in the hell would ok such a stupid ad line...lunatics? It serves it purpose, I remember the product, but I also remember NOT to buy the product!
I love European ads....the ones that have double entendre...so damned clever, so well produced...here, we are such prudes, we cannot even laugh at sexual things. Europeans are far more advanced when it comes to this kind of thing. IT is no accident that European (and some Japanese) ads always win at the festivals....these ad are like a drama...unfolding in 60 seconds or less. The writers/producers actually think that the viewers have intelligence...how refreshing. Here, Madison Avenue assumes that all Americans are as stupid as a bag of rocks.
But I have to admit, there is one American ad line that I love....California Happy Cows...it is a serial event, each ad furthers the last, and all are very funny. VW used to have good ads, but they went astray and now are boring.

OMG! The most annoying commercial on TV for me right now is the "More Furniture" Commercial. It plays like twice every commercial break on SciFi and then some!! Those people must be rolling the furniture out the door right and left to afford so dang many commercial spots. Arrrgggg!
I don't really have a fav right now, but I like the Geico Caveman commercials. Those are funny.

LadyG: If you are talking about the Super Bowl commercial where the Clydesdales are standing around on the field while the zebra looks at the replay, that is my absolute FAVORITE commercial of all time. I don't know how they got those horses to stand around like the players do, must be super CGI. Good Lord, I haven't been this excited in years!
Yeah, I need a life.

Lady G, In the uk we have some really gross ads and they always seem to be on just as you are preparing to eat!
One starts with a view down an ear canal and all the wax pops out and tells you instead of a visit to the doc you can just use Earex. Ugh!
A cute little boy sat on the loo, until he shouts to his mum that it stinks cos the air freshener has run out! Ugh!
A gorilla visiting a loo with a toilet cleaner cos someone just did a smelly dump! ugh!
Then one that is a woman on the phone, it's so irritating. The kids and hubby are asking her allsorts and she keeps breaking the phone conversation to answer them. Then she says to the caller, " Yes we'd like to borrow £25000 please, and don't worry about the noise, it's always like this here"
What I don't understand is, why she's telling the caller what goes on in her house, does he really need to know that? She only wants his money and he only wants her interest payments! durrrrrr!!!
Any advert for chocolate is my favourite! lol x

Commercial breaks give me time to go make popcorn and then come back, or take the laundry out of the washer and put it into the dryer. The TV show Fringe annoys me because I'll go put on some popcorn, come back, and it's already playing.

Most commercials annoy me because it has become fashionable and profitable marketing technique to make men look like absolute fools. People chuckle but think about it; if you substituted someone else, anyone else in that spot, various groups would be up in arms. The commercials need the woman to come in and "fix" a lazy husband, or a stupid brain dead husband. How about when a husband uses his cell phone to call his wife to order pizza out in the yard. All men seem to be portrayed as big bellied, ignorant, silly, fumbling, grumbling, lazy, moronic, feeble, sports fanatics with no common sense. The marketers of the world know that women have more discretionary income and capitalize on that with their marketing strategies. Bashing men in commercials albeit fashionable, has got to stop.

I like the M&M commercials. They're rarer now but there is always one on around Christmas where the red M&M and Santa both faint.
I hate the Geico caveman commercials.

I don't know if it's in your area, but I absolutely hate the Subway commercials where everyone is spilling their drinks on everyone else and the people are just like - "hee hee, what a sweetheart! He won so now he gets to shower me with a sticky drink. I love being drenched!" Idiots!

My favorite was the old Maxwell house commercial that was a little drama. You had to wait until the next one to see what happened.
The ones that drives me crazy are losing weight, and stopping smoking commercials. Every time I see one I want to raid the fridge with one cigarette hanging out of my mouth, another in my hand and one in the ash tray by my chair!
