Yes...i hate being the center of attention so i found it nice, but annoying. I feel great and i'm doing great so i don't like the extra attention.

I also found people to be nosier during this time too. Asking lots of personal questions.

EDIT** Sorry to hear that Amanda B...that was really inconsiderate of your family!

NO!!!

I live in Phoenix, Arizona and people here are SO nasty and rude. I noticed this BEFORE pregnancy. They don't care about anyone else and they have don't know courtesy or manners.

In my third trimester I've been almost knocked over three times and have been brushed/nudged/shouldered several times and these are times where there was plenty of room for BOTH of us including my belly. I've had doors close in my face, people glare at me like I better move for them despite the other three feet of isle to my side they could walk through, I've had people roll up to me with their cars becuase I guess I was walking too slow for them while crossing a cross walk into a store... I'm taking a class right now and my instructor asked how I was doing today and I said "oh, I'm so uncomfortable today" and she say (as she walks away) "...as it should be!" Where's the compassion? If not compassion, just say "oh." and leave it at that, you know? lol It's not like we ever talk about my pregnancy anyway so it's not like she could be getting tired of hearing about it...

If I were other places besides Phoenix it'd be different, and it was! I went out of state a couple weeks ago and found people to be accomodating and sweet. They even commented on my pregnancy like "Oh, precious cargo" (cute).

I'm so angry because I haven't gotten any special treatment whatsoever!!! I'm 31 weeks pregnant, and I guess I'm not that huge, because people just don't seem to notice (or care). The other day, I practically had to pull my shirt up and show my pregnant belly to an employee at Subway so that she would let me use the restroom. She kept telling me, "Sorry, bathrooms are for customers only," and I was like, "Uh, do you think you can make an exception for a pregnant woman?"

People have been VERY accommodating towards me! Though, it helps to always have a smile (when your morning sickness finally subsides anyhow!)... I think people help out more towards the end of your pregnancy because they take more notice of your belly being in the way, how difficult regular tasks can be, etc.

I'm pretty petite, and "ALL baby"... and people are just drawn to my belly for some reason lol....

I think it really depends on YOUR attitude towards others. If you're a gruntly preggo.. I think people are more likely just to stay out of your way versus step in to help......

So be nice~! (^ - ^)
Cheers.

Yes, I was carrying a big trash bag full of papers to our compactor and of course the bag ripped and the papers went everywhere. One of the guys here in the office heard it, and went and got a box and picked all of the papers up for me. He wouldn't let me help at all. Then he took it the rest of the way to the compactor. I just thought that was so nice! There aren't many people like that here at work, so it really made an impression.

Absolutley...I am 31 weeks, and have found that the last couple weeks, people hurry to open a door, or to take my cart from the grocery store. Standing in line for the ladies room, the belly usually gives me a front of the line pass. Enjoy it!!!

Alot of people have been pretty accommodating to me know. But I think they just feel sorry for me because my feet and legs have tripled in size and I'm just 17 weeks.

Yes all the time, opening doors for me, things like that. I was at a concert with a really long line fore the bathroom and a bunch of ladies made me go ahead of them even though I said it was okay.

Yeah I flunked out on Semester 1 and Semester 2, so they were very nice to me on Semester 3.

I don't think so..by the third trimester, I think people are tired of being nice to the moody pregnant lady! At least thats how I feel! I guess it just depends on the person/people!
