They aren't members of any professional organisation or body as far as I can see. I don't think what they're doing with us is fair or legal!

We viewed a house in March(there's 6 of us)& decided we wanted it the same day.We had to go to the agency straight away &pay them a £60 admin fee each which secured the property for us.We signed the contracts a couple of weeks later. Then in June we were told that they had made a mistake as they had showed us a 7bedroom property and we had to move into the house next door.We have had no new contracts to sign, they have just changed the page with the address on.Even though both houses are being renovated,we have been told that our house will not be having new bathrooms/toilets fitted but we will still be charged the same as next door. I have paid half-rent since June supposedly to be able to stay there on weekends (although this was only agreed verbally)&to store my belogings in the property securely but was then told it was unsecure while building work was going on.Im due to start paying full rent on 28th of this month but have now been told that the property will not be ready by then!

If you told us a bit more about the nature of the problem, we could help you figure out if it is legal and what governing body would deal with that sort of situation.

you don't give much info on the problem, but you can contact the housing authority or the college to find out your rights
