I had the steering wheel belt replaced, the pullies checked and an alignment. Also the back left side had it's wheel bearings replaced and a rod replaced. Now whenever I start stopping, I get a loud grinding noise. Does anyone know what would cause it and is it safe to drive it until they take it back in?

They might not have packed the bearing correctly , but to be safe take it back and find out before whatever it is costs you a lot more money

Agree with JTBFordman. erm, Camry? Front disc brakes? Sounds like metal on metal?

Had a car whos brake pad indicators indicated, 10 more miles and poof, screeching metal on metal stops, had to have the rotor turned.

Being an Alpha B, I would suggest to them, there will be no payment until I am satisfied I can safely drive my car. then find another mechanic.

Be careful.
