I do because women get sad easier than men do and its comforting for them to have a man to be there for them. Women weren't meant to live without men.

Er.. the question is great.
I disagree with your reasoning completely. I will be, as ever, honest. When I cry BIG HURT I prefer to be alone because my rage is fierce. If I do not spend it, it will remain so I need that freedom. Usually those hurts come from men so no, I prefer to be alone.
EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE SOMEONE TO HOLD THEM WHEN THEY CRY ~ PROVIDED THAT IS WHAT THEY WISH.
If I were crying due to the loss of a love or a child or a pet, or some such, then that is fine. You never know what can set one off, so it really depends upon circumstance.
You and your broad generalizations really need to be worked on my dear.

I would like a man to hold me when I cry, but I won't be looking everywhere trying to find that man. Women do tend to get sad easier. And you are wrong in the part that women weren't meant to live without me, we can live without a man because we are strong!

while i think that it's nice from time to time to have that "male" figure there to hold me when I cry, I'd much rather cry alone in private...i don't need a man to comfort me, take care of me, or do anything for me really. I am independent, strong and am a fighter til the end.

I cry....
I usually cry in the shower....after all the clothes come off, and I see the scars from the surgeries (two) from cancer, and I am feeling sorry for myself for the progressive nerve and vascular damage in that leg due to the surgery, chemo, and radiation that is robbing me of my mobility.
I don't want that emotion to be indulged so I do not go to him with it.
It is so strongly personal.
That is my minute to acknowlege and dwell on my most horrifying and vulnerable moments.
It is only for me.

That would be really great. Sadly, that doesn't always happen... Not every woman has a man to hold her when she cries.

Yes. It hurts me to see my wife cry. I will be honest and am not ashamed I have cried with her. Seeing my lady love upset is the worst!
