The "World" is not the whole planet. It is your view of society. The end of the world is when you are saved from your immature emotions and wake up to reality.

It could be 28 minutes from now or 280 years from now. When the superpowers square off against each other in two camps, then come back and we'll talk apacolpse.
Until then, just think regional conflicts, wars between rump states, proxy wars and brinksmanship. If you recall the Yom Kippur War in 1973, a coalition of Arab States (Egypt, Syria and Jordan) were soundly defeated by the Israelis. That was a worse situation than the current conflict and it didn't raise a blip on the world war radar (not that it didn't have the potential to spark a global war).
The next World War will involve a nuclear exchange, how could it not. In the first 30 minutes, nearly a billion people will have been vaporised, mostly in the US, Russia, Europe, China and Japan. Another 1.5 billion will die shortly thereafter from radiation poisoning. The northern hemisphere will be plunged into prolonged agony and barbarity.
Eventually the nuclear winter will spread to the southern hemisphere and all plant life will die. You ask when is the apacolypse, you are asking when will we commit global suicide. My answer is it won't happen soon because the larger superpowers are more rational than the rump states in the middle east.
Our biggest risk is an accidental launch of nukes by one of the nuclear powers.

My religion doesn't believe in suicide as you do not have the right to chose when U dye - thats up to God. Its all 2 do with karma - i'm Sikh by the way. You must accept the way U dye.
To UR question of " wot will I do" - the answer is nothing, unless you want to do some final GOOD deed. Then U just let nature or man (I think the world will only come to an end when there is so much evil on the earth that hell open up and there is no longer any differece between Hell and Earth, because Earth has become Hell - this is just my opinion)
The end isn't now so stop worrying

I think the world will not totally end but maybe end as we know it! Look at the news and you can see proof of the end of times as stated in the bible! I know I must change my life and walk the path of the Lord, so I can be saved from the punishment and torture mankind will face from the anitchrist! If you look at the bible, lots of the signs are here. Only a few are left to pass before the Second Coming of Christ. If you have Faith and believe in GOD something inside you is telling you it is close! Just be watching for your job or the government to be trying to place microchips in your body to track you and that will be the mark of the beast! (DON'T EXCEPT IT!) I have a feeling things will start undeniably changing in the next coming years (2012). The World Trade bombing was a signal but not many people caught on to it. That was nothing, it's going to get much worse before it gets better! Just realize, for you to ask that question something is telling you to get ready! If you have Faith you will feel it inside tugging at your soul, so be listening! And don't think about suicide that is the wrong thing to do. Soon you will see things going on that will put unimaginable fear in you. Like something out horror movie. This will be the Tribulation Hour and I don't want to see that but I will put my Faith in the Lord to save me! NO SUICIDE! Don't worry, you won't be alone, others like me will be around! Try typing in New World Order and Sept. 11 and read what is there. She talks about George Bush and the first Gulf war and 2012 is also mentioned.

The ancient mayans believed that the world would end in 2021 when the sun passed over a very large black hole. Maybe they were right, maybe wrong. Who really knows? I don't think anyone would be prepared for it, but I definitely would not commit suicide, because I do not believe in that course of action. If I die, I do not want to say that I gave up on life but rather that I accepted what I could not change.

Why does it matter?
We can barely prepare from one instant to the next.
Suicide?? Oops! False alarm! Now to make matters worse you botch the suicide and must live with those results.
It is not your job to worry about the end of the world. You have too much Life to Live to occupy yourself with trivial matters that do not concern you. The same is true for suicide. Everything dies when it is time. Live with Honor so that you can die your way naturaly with Honor. No one gets out of here alive. Live a full Life. One that gives beauty to the meaning of Living.

I don't know when the world will end by I really could careless. That is all up to the creator. For now I'll just live life and not add extra stress. I wouldn't commit suicide either. That wouldn't help in the long run.

There can be NO END to this world possible, perhaps for the next four billion years as profoundly confirmed by modern science! Its foolish to predict and confirm by immature knowledge that the world would come to en end, say, an end to all forms of life by a man made disaster. Nobody can confirm anything on this even rationally.
But of course by mathematical probability the science of its total destruction is inherent both inward (from inside the earth) and outward (from space) as per the laws of varying quality of nature itself which is beyond our comprehension. Man has the complete knowledge and faith in controlling a nuclear Holocaust but not having the control on natural disasters or a catastrophe that would wipe out all forms of life on earth!
This catastrophe can be expected in every minute of our existence since the forces that could imbalance the earth by any pull or push are not gaged and are unknown to us! As we know, man always measure the unknown by known things only, we have no known things to measure this unknown which may threaten to happen in any minute of our existence!

the end of the world will come when I die
If i was well alive and i knew the world was coming to an end, i'd start hating the scientists that worked on technology pleasures instead of working on global warming and all those issues that could kill us. Technology can come later....but life? Life has to be worked on now. After hating and freaking out...i'd spend all my money, eat a bunch of krispy creme donoughts, play tennis for the rest of my "life," and everyday i'll praise God, confess my sins....and on the last day i'll ask for forgiveness pure heartedly, play tennis....and....shove another box of donoughts in my face.
heh...i know i might sound fat now, but i don't actually do that

Why would you want to commit suicide. That would be the ride of a lifetime. It would scare the s..t out of you, but would be a hell of a way to go.
