i have a ScanDisk 2gb SD card that i use with my digital camera. everytime i put it on my computer it usually just opens up on it's own allowing me to view the files.

my problem is now when i insert my SD card and open it, i can't view my files, the automatic folder for my digicam pix is nowhere to be found too. all that appears is a file called "bootex"

when i insert my SD on my Digicam, it works perfectly fine & i can view my pics on there but i can't view it when i put it on my computer.

someone please HELP!

many thanks [:

i've already done all the stuff u guys suggested.

my SD card works perfectly fine on anyones PC since i use it all over the place. i can open and view files manually.

besides i have 4 other sd cards that work ok with my pc, just this one.

like i said the only file on there is a bootex that contains this info:

Checking file system on G:
The type of the file system is FAT.

One of your disks needs to be checked for consistency. You
may cancel the disk check, but it is strongly recommended
that you continue.
Windows will now check the disk.

If you can read cxard on another PC, do so to COPY ALL pics off it.
insert card in CAMERA, use it'd FORMAT option to reformat card to normal settings. Could be something "not nice" got lodged in the card and tries to install itself, esp as you say you use it loads of places.

Also the 1.5GB+ that's in HIDDEN FILES is a clue to something not being right . . . F O R M A T that card.

also run FULL anti virus scan on your PC and all other SD cards

First use your photo soft ware and see if it will open your SD card. Go to start, click on my computer, then right click on drive for your card reader after inserting SD card, then click open and transfer pictures.
Hope this works and helps

You will surely be able to have a look at those files if you use a memory card reader. You will find it at any computer, photo or even mobile (cell phone) shop these days. If you can't take any photos with that card, try to format it within the camera's options and try taking more photos.

Open My computer and look under devices with removable storage.

I don't think you are looking at the right disk drive.
