They tell everyone else what is wrong about them, should we even start with way has England invaded countries. (See rape and murder). All you have to look at is the Great Oliver Cromwell. He was a really good guy that is still seem as a hero in England not a man who committed mass genocide.

I THINK ENGLAND & AMERICA ARE BOTH PRETTY SIMILAR IN THEIR MORAL JUDGEMENTS ON THE WORLD. TONY BLAIR WAS JUST ABOUT THE ONLY FRIEND WE HAD FOR AWHILE IN THE WORLD! WINSTON CHURHILL & MARGARET THATCHER WERE ALWAYS ALLIES OF THE U.S., SO I GUESS I JUST DON'T AGREE ON THIS ONE.

Many people in the United kingdom still hate Cromwell and his leagacy. may I suggest instead of such an angry Alpha male display of chest beating you do some research before you display your own ignorance, Such anger, as displayed here comes from fear, and from projecting self-hatred onto others. Of course you will now launch some half-arsed , and possibly pedantic Ad Hominem argument( Viz:"DeepJedi. You call that a history? I call it a pathetic forgotten country that was and is ruled by incest ridden retards. How does it feel being an afterthought?") further augmenting my point and adding credence to my argument.

Also if you had bothered to do any research you would have found that we are a parlimentary democracy as well as a constitutional monarchy. In fact the government of your own countrywas modelled after ours.. The Monarch wields little, if any political power. As for being a "forgotten" country, that would obviously explain why we hold a permanent seat on the United Nations security coucil.

Why do Americans think that the British think they are the moral barometer for the rest of the world?

"They" tell "everyone else" (who are "they"? All British people?) who is "everyone else". . . no British person has ever told me what is wrong with me. Why are you making such a ridiculous accusation?!

I think maybe you could receive some relief from your problem by discussing the matter with your psychiatrist.

Simple mate: back in the old *lawless* days, England, having been whupped by foreign invaders i.e. the Romans, decided it wasn't going to happen again. They readied themselves for war and took it to everyone else first. Despite the massive Roman Empire, England marched over the entire planet, conquering everything that they came to until theirs was the largest and greatest Empire planet Earth has ever seen. From this, we became massively rich via the plunder and trade routes were forged and savages were civilised; we too became more civilised and democracy came into use. Hundreds of years later, (having been founded by the English), a big lumbering nation called America was born. Prior to this, Europe e.g. Spain, France, and Italy (along with England, of course) went through vast swathes of history and growth, both scientific, political, and social. We learned a great deal and have always been a foremost player in world politics; indeed, until the last half of the last century, Britain was still the mightiest nation in the world, a leader in all fields, a mover and shaker in all fields. It was the English, for example, who made the biggest initial strides towards abolishing slavery.
Today, on the strength of our massive historical and cultural experience over the laughably inexperienced 'new kid on the block' 'America' (a lumbering retard by comparison), Britain retains a foremost place at the tables of the world powers, from where we are highly respected. Of course there are dark sides to our history but this is because we *have* history! Also, as I said, this history was forged over centuries from days of complete lawlessness and savagery, to the noble ideals of democracy (that America *did NOT* invent) that we live by today. Britain has systematically handed over sovereignty to the nations she once ruled as part of the Empire.
In summary, it's less about the British lording it over others, as others being willing to listen to the British because of the *respect* they have earned.

Addendum: As for invading countries, in modern times, Britain hasn't done this once. In contrast, when Poland was invaded by Germany in 1939, Britain responded by fighting for justice, entering the war immediately (unlike, for example, Italy, which wavered between sides, or the French who immediately surrended). The U.S. blithely ignored this world war for the next three years, in fact turning out some of its finest films during this period e.g. Gone With The Wind, Stagecoach, and The Wizard of Oz! If it weren't for this commercialism while most of the rest of the world was fighting the worse conflict in human history, that some have described as being between the forces of good versus the anti-Christ, America wouldn't be as rich as it is today. Good for the U.S.A.! All of its competitors were in tatters, on their knees and having to rebuild entire cities, every resource spent and in massive debt - to guess who?
More recently, when Kuwait was invaded, Britain stood up to be counted. It has always done so. The States, on the other hand, invaded Vietnam and Korea - because it didn't like their sociopolitical/socioeconomic system 'Communism'. Fear of the unknown, response - attack.

One: because we elect our leaders, they don`t get their cousins to rig the votes
and two, do you mean British or English? There IS a difference.

I am a native of a British country, but my homeland has never declared war on another.

What an astonishing piece of ill-informed rhetoric.
It'd be amusing if it wasn't so poorly composed.
