1. John Unitas- In terms of a field General, hes the greatest of all time. Get him the ball in a close game with a minute or two left, you've got yourself a victory. 47 straight games with a passing touchdown in the days before prolific passing offenses. Tough, on the field leader, with 3 or four NFL Championships, 2 Superbowl appearances and one Lombardi Trophy
2. Joe Montana- May be a tie with Johnny U, but Montana played in a day and age where passing was more refined, but was amazing none the less.
3. Sammy Baugh- revoltuionized the forward pass for the Redskins back in the 30's
4. Steve Young- a product of two great passing systems at BYU and the 49ers
5. Troy Aikman- The man was a great leader and kept a team of common thugs together long enough to win a couple silver footballs.
runners up-
John Elway
Dan Marino- Cocaine problems and no Super Bowl ring
Peyton Manning- Any man that cries on national TV, because HE threw four picks and got his team knocked out of the playoffs is not an all time great in my book... but the guy can toss the 'ol pigskin

Most people who leave Otto Graham off their lists have little respect or knowledge for the history of football:
"Otto Graham was inducted into the Professional Football Hall of Fame in '65, his first year of eligibility and is still ranked a top ten passer. In 1994, Otto was selected along with QB's Sammy Baugh, Johnny Unitas, and Joe Montana to the NFL's 75th anniversary all-time team and represented his peers by tossing the game coins at Superbowl XXIX and the Hall of Fame inaugural game between the Jaguars and Panthers. In 1999, Otto was named one of 100 top athletes of the millennium by ESPN, one of Sports Illustrated's top six football players of all-time, the sixth ranked gridder of all time by Sport Magazine, the fifth of all time by NFL Films and quarterbacks the all time All-Madden team."

With 45+ years of watching the NFL here are my Top 5:
1) Elway
2) Marino
3) Unitas
4) Montana
5) Staubach
Does not include any active players but Favre would be a Top 15, Brady and Manning are still unknown but are both trending to be at least Top 15, maybe higher....
