Everytime I go for fast food, they screw up my order. I never say anything about it, but it really burns my butt. I'm thinking the next time I go out to eat, & they ask me what I want to order, I might just say, give me what you like. What do you think the result will be? It's obvious I can't get what I want to order.

Sure give it a try and see what you get, you might want to put a price cap on it so you won't get too much junk. I suggest you get a job at a fast food restaurant and take some orders, then you might get a clue as to what the problems might be. For one, I know often the microphone and audio systems are seriously compromised. Like Jay Leno once said all you hear is squawk squawk., the employee probably hears about the same. Also if the employee can hear you, they are doing about ten other things and are seriously distracted from listening well to what you said. Of course about 10% are younger than high school and often wish they were somewhere else. The best bet seems to be these fast foods that have written verification of your order light up on a board, If you order isn't right there, then don't proceed until that is correct. There are allot of workers out there though working very hard at low wages trying to get orders out inordinately quickly. At what grocery stores can you get 15 burgers, ten orders of fries, and 20 drinks in 1.37 minutes or less. Good luck on your FF ordering. I guess some misordered food is better than no food, but then again you can go out and cook for yourself or spend a few more bucks at more elegant dining experience.

First of all, you SHOULD say something about it! Well, you might want to check right then and there before you drive away to make sure that all your food is there. If it isn't, write to their website (keep your reciept). There's on Taco Bell I hate going to because they always screw up the order. My sister complains all the time and actually gets free food from them. I think if you say "Give me what you want", they wouldn't help you. Or order something really bad tasting. Good luck with that though

I have the same problem. Seems no matter if I order it straight from the menu (as in gimme a #5) or make it a bit more complicated they can get it wrong some how. But I guess given what they get paid..we get what they pay for. Maybe...Maybe if they got paid more they would get more competent employees or at least ones that paid more attention to what they are doing.

This happens to me all of the time too!!

Its annoying!

Maybe you should try to re-phrase what you are ordering!
For example- dont make it too complicated...just make it short and simple! If you go to someplace like a Mcdonalds just try and order a certain number...like a #2 with a coke!
Or...you could try and go inside to order....that might help....because they are face to face and maybe they will listen to you better!

Also, make sure that you check your food right when they give it to you!!
Then, if its wrong give it back to them and tell them to fix it! Its funny because if they are the ones that make the mistake than they fix it for free, and throw the other stuff away!!
If you make sure that they fix their mistake than they will not make as much profit, and soon will really start watching what they do!
Also.....check the receipt right when they give it to you! Belive me......sometimes they enter the wrong thing in to the computer, and then when they give you the wrong food they make you pay for it because the receipt says so!!! So, always check your recept, and make sure you tell them that its wrong!!

So, basically...you just need to start being "annoying" to them. You need to be more aware of what they are doing, and not let them get away with stuff!! If you start being more picky about it they will soon HAVE to start being more precise....or their business will fail!
good luck!

Telling them to give them whatever they like is just rude, you should not do that.
If you are not satisfied with the service you are receiving ask to speak to the manager and tell him that each time you order at his or her establishment your order is wrong. Tell them that you have not said anything about it because you wanted to avoid being rude. Tell him that if your orders continue to be wrong he will lose your business. Then see what he has to say to that.

In California, most of the people who works at fast food places are Mexicans who don't speak any English. If we want something special, we have to speak Spanish or forget it. May be you can try speaking Spanish, you might get what you want!

yeah, i had bad fast food karma at 1 time too. what happened one day is i decide u know what every time i order I'm just going to think they are going to mess it up. then just like that everything has been right. it reminds me of the "opposite George" episode of Seinfeld.

I have the most problems ordering Late Night. It always seems as if they have exactly one person working.... doing everything. And they can't even get the drinks right.
