Air Force one? Or to be more specific "Executive Decision". I have always thought those stupid terrorists must have gotten their ideas from this movies but i have never seen anyone mention it before.

I think they got the idea for their target selection from a movie entitled "Working Girl", starring Melanie Griffith and Harrison Ford and released in 1988. In the beginning of the movie Melanie's character is riding the Staten Island Ferry towards its terminal pier in lower Manhattan. As the ferry is photographed from a helicopter, Carly Simon is heard singing a song called "The New Jerusalem". The camera freeze-frames on the twin towers of the World Trade Center and Carly sings about the "quaking and the shaking".
