is there a type that doesn't multiply alot, and are they asexual

Get yourself some little snail condoms and pass them out.

Some kinds multiply a lot, some don't. I had Japanese Black Snails in my ponds where I used to live and never had any trouble with them overpopulating.

If you have raccoons around, they really like snails so there probably wouldn't be a problem anyway.

you just have to scoop some out occasionally to reduce the population
