I was wondering if America's Player can not win competitions. Eric hasn't won any HoH's or PoV's that I can remember. He seems to lose in a way that makes me think he is going out of his way to lose. Am I right? Or is he just that bad in competing?

I think he throws the HoH competitions yes. After all he can't choose who he puts up. And Right now he wants to stick with the deal Jessica, Dick, Danielle and himself have until the final four (at least I would - I wouldn't jeopardize that unless something drastic happens - but again why not have Jessica do your dirty work?). I think once he reaches there we'll see him really make the effort to win the last two - especially the one where you choose who goes to the final two. But with several people still in the house, and America voting to put up his nominations - I think he's worried they'll put up either Dick or Danielle and threaten his safety to the final four which he has so long as he throws the competitions and lets the other three duke it out. If Dick keeps running his mouth, Eric also becomes more and more invisible and by throwing challenges he becomes less of a threat to those around him too.

Just my thought about it if I put myself in his shoes. I would certainly throw *every* HoH compeition on purpose (make sure I'm not the first one out but close to the half way mark so I'm forgotten), and any potential PoV I play (same make sure I'm out at the half way mark so people again forget me - I'm not first out, I'm not sitting at the nailbiting end).

Edit: correction I forgot he hadn't played in PoV's too, he's been the host for so many it makes you think he played a few! =D

I think he is throwing the HOH competitions because he is worried that America will vote for him to put up someone that will mess up his strategy.

He hasn't been chosen to play in any POV competitions. Seems sort of fishy to me that everyone else plays week after week and Eric's name has never been pulled out of the bag.

Eric has not been chosen to play any POV competitions. It does make me wonder if he is blatantly throwing comps because he is supposed to be America's player.

I have very mixed feelings about this season's cast. I think Danielle is very bright but family problems should have remained taboo. Dick is so extreme that it is really hard to tell if it is just an act or if he's just nuts. The entire Jen debacle where she ate food and attacked Dick was poor form. Where do they get these people? There has been some drama beyond normal differences this year.

I think accusing people of incest was so far out of line that it should not have been aired. I know it is BB but once they added the Showtime part to it these people just went to far.

Ok, I am thinking he is throwing the competitions on purpose (it seems he is usually the first one out or close to the first one out) but not because he doesn't want America to put the choices up the block. I am thinking that BB has him throw them because we get his vote on eviction day. If you remember he has to try and get the rest of the house to go along with who we say. He has no vote it is America. I can't wait till the end when they all get together and they talk about it and mentions that he could do any of his own voting America has been voting for him......

And it is probably most likly that he doesn't have a magic ping pong ball in the sack. Oh and very funny how they have a ball for Houseguest choice and nobody ever picks Eric.....LOL

I do believe he is throwing the HOH competitions. I don't think he wants to have America decide who he puts up.
He has not been picked to play in any POV's so he has not had a chance to either win or lose those.

He have never played POV. (I liked the theory that his name is not even in the sack).
His team usually wins food competitions, so he tries there.
I definitely think he is losing the HOH competitions on purpose - and I whole-heartily believe it is because he is too scared/nervous to let America pick the nominees. America would screw him over for sure, if the past voting is any indications.

Eric has never played a POV and my opinion is that his name is not in the sac!! I think that the producers dont put his name in the bag on purpose so he cant play-- I dont know if he knows that or not-- but I dont think that he is throwign the HOH competitions-- but maybe he has some secret aggreement with the producers

In either the second or third episode Eric said right before a HOH competition..."I can't afford to win these...", so yes, I think he throws them intentionally... but when it comes down to the wire, that may change.

Eric has never played for POV -- so he's not throwing that.

He is throwing the HOH because if he is HOH then he has to nominate who America votes for instead of his own personal choices. That sucks.....

He always looks mad at himself after he is elminated. I don't think he is throwing the competitions. But he is staying under the radar by not winning them. No one in the Jury house knows that he is plaing for america. I wonder if that will make a difference for him if he gets to the end?
