I got my period last night and usually I have heavy periods for the first couple of days but this time its a light period. Also the blood is brown. What does that mean and why is it doing that? Will it go back to normal color? This is sort of freaking me out cause I've never had this happen before.

Brown blood is just blood that has been in the uterus for a while. It becomes deoxygenated and turns brown. It's fairly natural and there is no need to worry.

That is completely NORMAL. Brown blood is just old blood. MOST women get brown blood at the beginning or end of their periods. Sometimes it is heavier than others, probably due to the amount of leftover blood (from your last period) that was left in your body. It will probably be red by tomorrow.

Each period is different. The brown color is from old blood that probably didn't make it out during your last cycle. There's nothing to worry about. You are normal.

Happens. Not to worry at all.
Try take lots of fluids before periods start.
And exercise. Periods are easier.

its more than likely normal the reason its brown in the begining is because the blood has encountered air and is for lack of better terms old and has been in the vaginal walls for a little while nothing to worry about if its only for a couple days good luck
