tyrus raymond cobb purchased a tremendous of amount of stock in the coca cola company when it initilsed publis stocks they were called penny stocks example 5 candies for a penny during his playing carrer he earned weoo over a mill on the stock returns bobby jones was a true amature his money eas through law and the manipulations at augusta none of the above made over a mill during there contracts cobb through his social contacts and limited endorsements which were extremly high paying for that era he also belonged to the masonic lodge which was well accepted in the south as well as a underground group not acceptable so of the athetes mentioned ty cobb was the first ever to make a mill during his playing carrer contract wise none of the above made a million carrer wise babe made 32.000 his best year a sportswriter asked did he think he deserved to make more than the pres of the united states his answer why not i had a better year
