I think it's an interesting concept. There's a native american proverb that goes like this:
'Treat the Earth well.
It was not given to you by your parents,
it was loaned to you by your children.
We do not inherit the Earth from our Ancestors,
we borrow it from our children.'
I think this show sums this up nicely. Course it could also turn into The Lord of the Flies too. -shrugs- Kids tend to try and emulate what they see around them, their parents, older siblings, teachers, etc. I suspect we'll see this and seeing it's a reality show I wouldn't be surprised if the adults behind the scenes do a little coaching. Overall, I'm not sure what to expect, but I'm curious to see.
Edit: and yes the parents are there. It's against the law for children to be on *any* set without parental consent and supervision.

I think that this of all the Reality Shows out there could end up being one of the most interesting . It will teach us alot about ourselves because the kids are going to try and recreate what they perceive a successful community to be.
I can imagine why some parents are alittle concerned now , especially if their middle name is dysfunctional !

They aren't left there. The parents are there, but I believe there is no interaction. And let's remember that these parents and/or kids VOLUNTEERED to do this, no one forced them. I have heard of one mom getting mad because her daughter burned herself with a grease splatter -- this could happen at any home in the country. I am not defending them, just throwing out another side of the story.

It sounds boring, but I might watch the first one just to check it out and make sure. Watching a bunch of kids sounds as interesting as watching a bunch of senior citizens on Big Brother.

I think it looks great.... there is controversy but what reality show doesn't have controversy..... I bet the kids last longer than most adults could!
