I'm tempted to ask Why? but my question is : many of you seem to think the answer to all the world's conflicts is 'nuke 'em' .
Has anyone actually explained to you the workings of a nuclear bomb? Are you imagining that it works like a neat little bundle of death only targeting the 'bad people' and leaving the rest smelling of roses? Because I don't think it does work like that you know.

Hi Just Me - Yes, I have somewhat stereotyped Republicans - I'm from the UK so blame it on that . :-)

Very glad to hear it's just an expression of frustration.
I must say, you are all extremely polite. I was worried to death I'd get a barrage of abuse (thought I'd get nuked by some of you !)

Trust me, MOST Republicans and MOST conservatives don't think like that. Educated people understand the fall-out (forgive the pun) of the use of a nuclear weapon and would prefer that one never be detonated again.

If I were a republican or worse yet a "conservative", I would be ashamed of what this administration is doing. After six years of the Bush administration how can anyone claim to be proud to be republican? Are you really proud of what this administration is doing? The killer debt that is going to be passed on to our children, the still open borders six years after nine-eleven, the push for amnesty for millions of illegals, no accountability at all from anyone in a leadership position in this administration, what exactly is there to be proud about?

Oh, come on! That's not a serious suggestion, it's just an expression of frustration with a people who appear impervious to logic, economics, and modern living. What do you DO with folks who think it's honorable to blow up women and children for their religious beliefs?

You're right - we are all totally ignorant.
Actually, *most* Republicans don't feel that way.
Have a nice day.
