My first job of any real responsibility, I wore a watch. I had to adhere to a time schedule, teaching, and felt like my watch had turned into a slave-driver! The last day of school, I hopped on a plane to Mazatlan, took my watch off and never again chose to wear one. Even tho' I've had 29 yrs' work since--all demanding, I've never missed wearing one. There are times when I wondered what time it was (this was before cell phones) but there was always a clock somewhere. I'm sure I saved myself many medical probs by not being hyper re time!! As a result, I developed a kind of sense of what time it is, and depend upon myself rather than a CLOCK!!!

I own 2 watches and a cell phone. I only wear my watch only on the weekends when i am dressed up cause i hate reaching for my pocket all the time. I don't wear it everyday cause i work with small kids all day which means i have to wash my hands all day and i don't wanna get it wet. I also carry the cheap one when outside jogging cause a cell phone is to heavy and i want something that's not gonna add weight or irritate me.
So it just depends on the situation. You wanna be able to know what time it is, its not like before when you could tell the time by looking at the sun or when the rooster crows something like that ha ha ha.

I never more a watch because i worked as a mechanic and would have caught it or broken it on something, i seemed to have an inbuilt time realisation and could guess the time to within 5 mns and for appointments i would go by car and there was a clock in the car

I never wear a watch 'cause they malfunction on me and their irritating to have hanging on my arm. I have clocks in the car, the office, on the bank sign, and, believe it or not, you develop a good intuition for time if you work at it. I haven't used an alarm clock in 20 years and I never wake up late. Watches are cool if you like 'em though. By the way, I am NEVER late for an appointment and usually arrive one or two minutes early. Any earlier than that, you're wasting time! peace

I have clocks in my house and there are always clocks in offices, cars etc.

I never wear a watch, except for when I'm jogging (because I run based on time, not distance) I hate feeling so tied down. I find that it's much better to leave a bit early to get to places, then you don't have to worry about being late, and it lets you maintain calm. Rushing to be "on time" only makes you stressed and forgetful, ultimately it's better to be a little late and calm/well organised than on time and freaked out.

If in doubt of course I just ask people for the time- it's more sociable that way!

I just hate wearing watches, they're heavy (even light ones) and just make me feel constricted. I only wear mine when I'm jogging because I know that otherwise I wouldn't push myself to stay out long enough. Time was created by man to tie us down and force us to be organised. I say take as long as you need over things and don't be swayed by how long you're "supposed" to spend over them.

I know a few people who don't wear watches at the weekend as this distinguishes between "work time" and "home time" where you're free to keep doing things until you're bored of them, rather than thinking "oh, it's almost time for blah blah, must stop doing bleh bleh"

I trust that there's always some way to check the time and, if not, you get pretty good at approximating the time.

I can't wear watches because for some reason my body drains the battery. Like within days. I've tried everything, even a watch necklace. Before I had a cell phone, I used the car clock, home, etc.

I dont wear a watch becuz I hate to have to take it off every day to take a shower. I hate the sweat that it causes on my wrist. I have a cell phone that tells good time and I always have that with me. I dont wear any jewelery at all, but I manage to do just fine, even with 4 kids going 4 different places...

I leave home earlier and the clock in my car works. It is set minutes earlier so I can pace my self and still be earlier than I am scheduled.
I used to wear a watch but when I retired time was not of the essence any longer.

I wear a watch too. I love being able to know the time in case I'm feeling I'm becoming late at getting somewhere. It's like... Hmm... I wonder if I'm late and then... oh thank goodness 15 minutes until the appt. I'm walking up the sidewalk to the doctors office and sit in the comfy chair. ahhhh right on time and a little early at that too!:)
