I think it went out of fashion with the Reagan era...
People speak their minds now, sometimes it's a good thing, other times people need to think about what they are going to say, before they say it.
Sometimes, the truth hurts though. Get tough, deal with it.

Yes, quite often and when I get ready to vent my mom's voice comes back clear as a bell and I usually tone down my response. Funny the things you remember.

Yes that was golden rule in my foster parents house, and now today I tell my 3 teens the same thing,and i guess they will do the same in theirs who knows.
